Exploring Games and Smart Homes with CyberPi
4th-8th grade
Awaken creativity in students by inventing both Smart Home gadgets and digital video games. Teach Scratch coding with the game controller while developing a variety of video games. Then dive into the world of Internet of Things (IoT) and build smart home models with inventions to manage lights, blinds, appliances, and more. The engineering design process engages student curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a way that’s both challenging and fun.
This CS/STEM course offers hands-on challenges to engage students in coding, inventing, and engineering. Teacher-led lessons use the CyberPi device and Innovation Add-on Pack for hands-on STEM, and are aligned to CSK-12 and NGSS standards.
