Description

Included in this bundle is free FlashPrint slicing software, which allows you to teach using any FlashForge 3D printer. Dedicated lesson plans teach students how to use FlashPrint for preparing their own models. Additionally, TinkerCAD design software allows beginners to learn how to create designs from scratch and can be accessed outside the classroom.

This product is non-refundable and is delivered electronically. Lessons are mapped to the USA, UK and Australian National education standards, and Cambridge International GCSE standards. Also meets NGSS, ISTE, and Common Core math standards.

Beginner Lesson Pack

Ideal for grades 5 and 6, and for students who have no experience of 3D printing. Seven lessons introduce students to the basics of 3D printing. Learn how to design and prepare models for printing, as well as begin to use the browser-based TinkerCAD software, which can be accessed outside of the classroom. FlashPrint slicing software is also introduced at this level.

Intermediate Lesson Pack

This pack continues on what the beginner lesson pack establishes, making this ideal for grades 7 and 8. Lessons focus on different applications of 3D printing, the use of 3D printers in everyday society, and acts as an introduction to parametric modeling using Autodesk Fusion 360 (free for educational purposes). Two lessons are specifically focused on FlashPrint, teaching students about advanced custom settings for prepping files for printing.

Advanced Lesson Pack

Ideal for grades 9 and 10, this lesson pack focuses on manufacturing along with sustainability issues involved with the 3D printing process. Advanced design challenges using Autodesk Fusion 360 encourages independent learning and design thinking. Resources include video tutorials to assist teaching and learning.
