The xTool P2 is a powerful CO₂ laser cutter from the Chinese-based xTool brand, well-known for its diode laser cutters and the CO₂ Laserbox. The xTool P2 can be connected to a computer via Wi-Fi, USB, or Ethernet. The machine features intuitive controls and a number of automatic functions, such as autofocus adjustment, so even beginners can operate it with ease. There is a Start button on top of the device, and the Emergency stop switch is on the right-side panel.

The xTool P2 works with the proprietary xTool Creative Space software compatible with Windows and macOS. It supports multiple file formats including SVG, DXF, PNG, JPG, and BMP and provides all the necessary tools for image design and editing as well as material parameters and machine control settings.

For more complicated projects, one can also use the LightBurn software which supports more file formats, such as AI, SVG, DXF, PDF, HPGL, and PLT for vector files and PNG, JPEG, BMP, TIFF, TGA, and GIF for raster images, and offers comprehensive design tools.
