The turntable is a major part of this optical instrument. It is mounted with a robust axle, and it can be rotated around a vertical axis

Features a circular scale marked from 0 to 360 degrees at 0.5 degree intervals.

The collimator consists of two concentric metal tubes with adjustable vertical slit at one end, and a convex lens at the other. The astronomical telescope is attached to the arm of the prism table and has a cross-hair sighting device and a Ramsden eyepiece positioned at one end of two concentric tubes.
